Colonials to host Senior Day on Sunday
PHILADELPHIA – The George Washington women's soccer squad saw its three-match winning streak snapped on Thursday evening, falling to Saint Joseph's, 3-1, at Sweeney Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• 28th Minute – The Hawks broke the deadlock with a goal from leading scorer Hannah Racis. (SJU 1, GW 0)
• 35th Minute – Saint Joseph's padded its lead seven minutes later with a tally from Morgan Bower. (SJU 2, GW 0)
• 55th Minute – The Hawks opened the scoring in the game's second stanza when Gabrielle Vagnozzi took a pass from Dakota Mills and was able to find the back of the net. (SJU 3, GW 0)
• 76th Minute – The Colonials were able to get on the board with a header from Alexandra Filipkowski. (SJU 3, GW 1)
After battling for just over 85 minutes, the game came to a halt due to lightning in the area and was eventually called.

• Filipkowski's goal at the 76th minute marked her second of the season. The first-year found the back of the net for the first time in her career on Sunday against Richmond.
• The Hawks held a 16-13 edge in shots, marking just the fifth time this season, and second time in conference play, that the Colonials were outshot by their opponent.
• Natalie Silberman led the squad with a game-high five shots in tonight's match. The sophomore ranks third on the squad with 30 shots on the season and has started all 15 matches.
• Despite falling in tonight's contest, GW still owns the 9-7-3 series history.
