WASHINGTON - George Washington swimming and diving returned to the pool at Charles E. Smith Center on Wednesday for its first practice of the 2017-18 season.
The Colonials will kick off the fall Sept. 16 with several swimmers competing at CSCAA Open Water Nationals in Lawrence, Kan. Head Coach James Winchester has bolstered the schedule with a host of competitive meets early with an eye toward building on last season's success.
The men are coming off their first Atlantic 10 championship in the spring, while the women dropped 10 program records on their way to a sixth-place finish at the conference meet.
The A-10 championships begin Feb. 14, 2018, at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
