SETTING THE SCENE: The women's water polo team is set to host the GW Invitational at the Charles E. Smith Center Pool with Allyson Bakos and Brennan Marczewski to be honored on Senior Night before Friday night's 6pm match vs. Saint Francis (Pa.).
LAST TIME OUT: GW saw its four-game winning streak come to an end on the road at VMI last Friday when the Keydets took a 14-10 victory. Jacqueline Bywater led the Colonials with five goals while Erin McGeoy had three and Scarlett Hallahan added two.
HOT START: The Colonials own a 6-3 record and had matched the best eight-game start in school history at 6-2, equaling the 2002 squad. GW won all four of its matches at Saint Francis and the Mercyhurst Invitational three weeks ago and two of its losses have come to ranked teams (No. 21 Harvard, No. 11 Princeton).
TEAM LEADERS: Hallahan leads the Colonials with 20 goals and 16 assists while Bywater has 16 goals and Ally Jochim has 12. In the cage, Alexandra Moeller and Samantha Runyon have split time with each owning a high save percentage (.450 and .460, respectively).
