Women's Swimming & Diving Begins FIU Fall Classic

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. - Abigail Fusco's second-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly led George Washington women's swimming Friday at the FIU Fall Classic.
The Colonials, with 182 points, sit fourth out of seven teams after the opening day of competition at Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center. Host Florida International leads at 270.
Fusco was runner-up in her only individual event of the day and swam on both of GW's relays. The Colonials placed fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay and sixth in the 400-yard medley relay.
Gemma Atherley stayed busy swimming on both relays and also finishing third in the 200-yard freestyle and fourth in the 100-yard backstroke.
The FIU Fall Classic wraps up Saturday, with the action set to begin at 11 a.m.
