The 3rd Varsity 8 placed third in a very competitive Petite Final to place ninth overall, one spot ahead of its seed. The Petite Final saw all six crews finish within 10 seconds of each other. Yale won the final in 5:58.363, followed by Dartmouth (6:01.922), GW (6:02.184), Syracuse (6:05.227), Navy (6:05.992) and Penn (6:08.404).

"Our strongest showing was the 4V8," said Coach Davis. "It was a really nice effort by them. It is a really young group with five freshmen so we are excited for them and the future of that boat."
The 4V8 earned a spot in the Grand Final after placing second in its morning heat, finishing with a time of 6:14.167, behind only BU (6:12.801).
"It was a solid day of racing for all of our crews," said Coach Davis. "Now we get back to work in a couple of days and turn our attention to the upcoming IRA National Championships."
