GW Men's Track Competes at Mason Spring Invitational

FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Washington men's outdoor track team totaled four top-ten finishes, including a pair of top-five performances, at the George Mason Spring Invitational on Saturday at George Mason Stadium.
Junior Seamus Roddy secured a new personal record in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:10.89 to place fourth overall out of 40 competitors. He beat his previous best by 16 seconds.
Junior Jordan Pantalone also had a top-five finish after placing third out of 16 opponents in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Pantalone had a time of 9:50.56
Senior Ryan Tucker and freshman Andrew Weber also ran top-ten in their respective races. Tucker placed sixth in the 1500m with a time of 3:56.73. Weber made his outdoor collegiate debut in the 5000m and placed ninth in 15:28.19.
Five other runners joined Tucker in the 1500m with sophomore Chris Shaffer pacing the remaining Colonials in 4:01.52 for 14th place. Sophomore Ryan DePinto followed in 4:05.18 (22nd).
The Colonials are scheduled to run at the Morgan State/Loyola Invitational on April 16 in Baltimore, Maryland.
