WASHINGTON - The George Washington men's rowing team carries its unbeaten streak of 21 consecutive races into Sunday's regular-season finale where the Colonials will face Navy and Columbia in a series of three races on Lake Mercer in West Windsor, New Jersey, on Sunday.
The Colonials rowed on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, New Jersey, last weekend, sweeping four races over Georgetown and Rutgers to extend its winning streak, which dates back to a two-day, nine-race sweep at the George Washington Invitational on April 11-12.
The three teams will face each other in the Freshmen 8 at 11:40 a.m. on Sunday, followed by the JV8 at 12:00 p.m. and the Varsity 8 at 12:20 p.m.
The three teams met last season with GW's Freshmen 8 taking first place against the Midshipmen and Lions while the Varsity 8 and JV8 each finished in third place.
