WASHINGTON - The GW men's and women's swimming and diving teams return to the Charles E. Smith Center Pool to welcome Drexel on Saturday afternoon.
The women's three-meter and the men's one-meter diving will begin at 10:30 a.m., and the swimming portion of the meet will begin at 1 p.m.
The Colonials hosted UMBC in their home opener last weekend. The women, who were led by rookie Abigail Fusco with three victories and freshman Hannah Kopydlowski and Carly Whitmer with a pair of wins, fell to the Retrievers, 160-134. The men's side lost, 149-120, and was paced by sophomore Liam Huffman's win in the 1,000 free and senior Goran Koprivnjak, who tallied a victory and three second-place finishes.
Drexel comes to the nation's capital following a quad-meet at Loyola last weekend. The men's squad went 3-0 against Loyola (201-99), Seton Hall (166.5-133.5) and Lafayette (223-75), while the women's team went 2-1 on the day, defeating the Greyhounds (157.5-141.5) and Leopards (182.5-109.5) and falling to the Pirates (153-146).
