GW Women's Swimming Finishes Fifth at Patriot Invitational

FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Washington women's swimming team racked up 399 points and finished in fifth place out of eight teams at the Patriot Invitational on Saturday evening, held at the Jim McKay Natatorium at George Mason.
UMBC led the three-day meet in first place with 1,089 points.
Sophomore Caroline Myers finished in second place out of 23 swimmers in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:05.58. Freshman Janica Lee landed in third place in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:22.90.
Sophomore Remy Neville finished first in the consolation final of the 200 breast and ninth overall with a time of 2:27.60. Freshman Bianca Valencia also won the consolation final of the 200-yard butterfly in 2:09.07.
The 400-yard freestyle relay claimed fifth place in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The team of sophomore Sloan Saunders, Myers, freshman Morgan Zebley and sophomore Sydney Saunders clocked in at 3:33.17 for fifth out of 16 teams.
The Colonials host Old Dominion on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 1 p.m. in Smith Center Pool.
