GW Women's Swimming Drops First Home Meet to Towson

The duo of Sydney Saunders and Sloan Saunders finished second and third, respectively, in the 100-yard freestyle. Sydney Saunders finished second in 53.86, just .43 seconds behind
Sophomore Caroline Myers claimed second in the 500-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 5:05.02. Freshman Morgan Zebley finished second in the 100-yard butterfly in 57.63, just .27 second behind
Freshman Janica Lee clocked in at 2:11.27 in the 200-yard individual medley to take home second place. The 200-yard medley team of sophomore Lindsay Moore, Lee, Zebley and Sydney Saunders clocked in with a time of 1:49.71 for a second-place finish.
The Colonials' 400-yard freestyle relay team of Sloan Saunders, Zebley, sophomore Melissa Fernandez and Sydney Saunders finished second in 3:35.89.
GW returns to the pool for the Patriot Invitational at George Mason from Thursday, Nov. 17-Saturday, Nov. 19.
