Freshman Janica Lee led the way for the Colonials with three first-place finishes. Lee swam the second leg of the 200-yard medley relay, consisting of Morgan Zebley, Bianca Valencia and Sydney Saunders, that finished in 1:49.74. She also claimed top honors in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:06.86, and the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:23.18.
Sophomore Caroline Myers picked up her first win of the day with a 10:16.59 first-place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle. Myers also landed first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:03.29, five seconds ahead of Bucknell's second-place finisher.
Sophomore Lindsay Moore finished first in the 100-yard backstroke, touching the wall in 1:00.99.
Zebley, a freshman, clocked in at 57.84 seconds for a first-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly. Classmate
The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Sydney Saunders, Sloan Saunders, Zebley and Melissa Fernandez finished first with a time of 3:34.93.
GW returns to the pool Saturday, Oct. 29, at UMBC. Action is slated for 1 p.m.
