Colonials Ranked 16th in USRowing Collegiate Poll

WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington University Men's Rowing team has been ranked 16th in the latest USRowing Collegiate Poll. The Colonials will next compete this weekend at Saint Joseph's.
The University of Washington topped the preseason USRowing men's varsity eight collegiate coaches' poll, while the University of Wisconsin earned the No. 1 ranking in the women's lightweight eight poll. The men's lightweight eight poll will be released later this week.
Washington earned eight of 19 first-place votes to take the top spot in the first men's varsity eight poll of the season. Wisconsin received nine first-place votes, but ranked second. The University of California, Brown University and Stanford University rounded out the top five. Cal and Brown each received one first-place vote.
Wisconsin received all 10 first-place votes to earn the top spot in this season's first women's lightweight eight poll. Princeton University ranked second, while Stanford University took third. Georgetown University and Radcliffe rounded out the top five.
