Peotter Claims Second Straight CWPA Rookie of the Week Award

BRIDGEPORT, PA - George Washington freshman driver Allison Peotter totaled a team-leading eight goals and 14 points in four games last week to earn her second consecutive CWPA Southern Division Rookie of the Week honor, the league announced Tuesday.
A week after winning GW's first-ever Rookie of the Week honor, Peotter claimed her second straight weekly award after recording hat tricks in an 11-7 victory over St. Francis (NY) and 9-8 loss to Wagner to help GW finish in fourth place at the ECAC Championship in Poughkeepsie, NY, last weekend. She also had two assists, one goal, one steal and four swim-offs won in a 9-6 loss to No. 20 Maryland at Smith Center Feb. 26.
Peotter finished the four-game week with eight goals, six assists, seven steals and 11 sprints won. For the season, she leads the Colonials with 24 swim-offs won and 23 steals and ranks second on the team with 13 goals, 11 assists and 24 points.
GW (2-7, 0-2 CWPA Southern Division) completes its Smith Center Pool schedule Thursday at 7:00 pm against CWPA Southern Division rival Bucknell.
