
Peotter Tabbed CWPA Southern Division Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, PA - George Washington freshman driver Allison Peotter was named Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Southern Division Rookie of the Week Tuesday following her efforts at the Princeton Invitational last weekend.
Peotter, who is the first Colonial to receive the league's Rookie of the Week honor, totaled five goals, five assists, 13 steals, 11 swim-offs won and three field blocks as GW finished 1-3 at the Invite, including a 17-7 victory over Villanova on Sunday to help the Colonials snap their 15-game losing streak.
Peotter led GW with three goals, three assists, three swim-offs won and two steals in the win against the Wildcats. She also had six steals to go along with a goal and an assist in Saturday's narrow 10-8 loss to Marist.
Through five games, Peotter leads the team with 16 steals and 13 swim-offs won, and is second with 10 points on five goals and five assists.
GW (1-4, 0-1) hosts Southern Division rival Maryland at Smith Center Pool Thursday at 7:00 pm.
