Men's Rowing Takes Three of Four Events at Virginia

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The George Washington men's rowing team took three of four races at Virginia Saturday at the Rivanna Reservoir.
The Colonials earned wins in the Varsity Four, as well as the Second Varsity 8 and Novice Eight. GW was edged by nine-tenths of a second in the Varsity Eight.
The 2nd Varsity Eight completed the 2,000 meter course in 6:11.3, just over six seconds in front of the Cavaliers. The Novice Eight took its race in 6:10.2, four seconds in front of Virginia.
The Varsity Four was not as close as GW's other victories, as the Colonials won by 13.6 seconds in 6:20.3.
The Varsity Eight completed the course in 5:58.9, but were edged out by Virginia (5:58.0).
GW Men's Rowing competes next at it's 21st George Washington Invitational Regatta Fri-Sat., April 11-12 on the Potomac River.
