COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The College Swim Coaches Association of America has announced that the George Washington University men's program posted the nation's 18th combined grade point average and the women's team posted the 23rd highest for Division I teams during the 2007 spring semester.
The men's program accumulated a 3.23 GPA for the semester, and the women's team accumulated a 3.390 GPA. With a 3.23 GPA, the men's program finished second in the Atlantic 10 conference to Xavier, which led the league with a 3.24 GPA. The women's team ranked tied for first with Duquesne, which also recorded a 3.390 GPA.
The University of South Carolina posted the top women's GPA with a 3.606. Northwestern University led all women's programs with a 3.610 GPA
