COLLEGE PARK, MD - George Washington seniors Morgan Hooker and Jenna Burnett concluded standout careers as the Colonials' women's water polo team ended its season with a pair of losses at the CWPA Southern Division Championships in College Park, MD, on Saturday, April 21.
GW fell to No. 16 Princeton, 11-2, in the semifinals before bowing out to Bucknell, 11-3, in Saturday's third place game. Hooker and sophomore Jackie Friedberger tallied against the Tigers, while junior Kathryn Shehan, sophomore Amy Moren and freshman Bernadette Karandy scored versus the Bison.
Junior goalkeeper Julie Jacoby registered 22 saves over the two games to bring her season total to a program-record 290, surpassing Lisa Greenfield's old mark of 241 set in 2002.
