Women's Swimming Falls Short at Army

WEST POINT, NY The women's swimming & diving team fell to Army 156-104 in their regular season finale on Saturday. Ariana Berdin led the way for GW with two wins on the day. Emily Leik and Cissey Ye also took home an individual titles.
Berdini captured the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke events in 1:08.16 and 2:30.10 respectively.
Leik won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.13 and also took second in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:11.37
Ye performed well in the distance events winning the 1000-yard freestyle in 10:54.90 and finishing second in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:20.40.
The Colonials will look to improve from their eighth place finish at last years Atlantic 10 Championships at this year's conference championship Feb. 21-24 at the Flickinger Athletic Center in Buffalo, NY.
