WASHINGTON, D.C. - George Washington men's soccer was held in check in an evening match at the University of Dayton in an Atlantic 10 Conference match at Baujan Field, falling 2-0.
GW (4-9-0, 2-3-0) was out-shot by UD (9-1-2, 4-0-1) 23 to 11, as the Flyers remained atop the A-10 conference standings and extended their unbeaten streak to seven-straight matches.
UD scored a single goal in both halves, despite a strong match by GW's keeper Derek Biss who turned away the Flyers' other 21 shots, recording five saves in the losing effort. Senior forward Arnar Johannsson led the Colonials with three of their 11 shots on the game.
GW travels to Cincinnati to face Xavier on Sunday, October 19, in a 1:00 pm match at the Xavier Soccer Complex.
