GW 54 Temple 53
Elena Vishniakova
"They are a difficult team to play against because they talk to you in a very inappropriate manner, and push you around, it's just crazy. That's why we're so excited to play them and, of course, win."
"We didn't get frustrated, we just decided that we needed to keep our poise and think about playing better defense."
"At first I thought the game was over when Temple scored [with 8 seconds left]. Then I thought Ugo's shot went in. I reacted to the rebound and put it back in. I really didn't think about it, I just did it."

"I told the team that the game lasts 40 minutes. Just because a shot doesn't go in or shoot well in the first half doesn't mean you're not going to win."
"I'm proud of my team. Temple is a hard team to play against, they're very physical and their quickness gave us trouble. Our size offset that, but we had trouble getting Ugo the ball at times, but we did a better job in the second half getting Elena the ball. But on the flip side, I thought our defense was tremendous. They shot 26 percent...I thought we did a great job there. We just couldn't score."
"We put ourselves in position to win at the end of the game, then tried to give it away. I'm really disappointed in the way we played in the last 3 minutes of the game because we had the lead the whole time. We didn't block out, we turned the ball over on an inbound play, and didn't execute very well. We got away with it, but I told the team we're walking on thin ice. Temple brings out a lot of emotion in you. You have to keep your poise, you can't get caught up in that."
"I told the team that it was a war tonight, but we came out with a W. Now let's move on and play GW basketball like we did in Ohio. Xavier and Dayton were our two best games of the year."
