Stephen Kim is in his first year at GW and serves as the athletic trainer for the Men’s Basketball team. Kim came to GW from Missouri Southern State University where he worked with the Men’s Basketball and Women’s Volleyball programs. Prior to his time at MSSU, Kim served as the athletic trainer for the Men’s Basketball team at Northwestern State University while attaining his master’s degree in health and human performance.
A graduate of Baylor University with a degree in Athletic Training, Kim is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He also holds certifications in Corrective Exercise and Performance Enhancement through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as well as a certification in sports manual therapy.
A native of Salem, Oregon, Kim is married to Janet Han, who attends medical school at Kansas City University.
