Volleyball Falls to NC State in Three

RALEIGH, NC– The GW volleyball team opened the Summit Hospitality Tournament against host NC State on Friday evening, falling to the Wolfpack in three sets (12-25, 20-25, 9-25).
The Revolutionaries faced early challenges, committing eight errors—seven at the net—in the first set. GW narrowed the deficit in the second set, but NC State secured the 20-25 win. In the third set, the Wolfpack opened with six unanswered kills, and GW was unable to recover.
Despite the loss, Yazmyn Billings hit a 0.333% at the net and added a block to her evening's performance. Riley Samuel and Alexis Badu each added three blocks to tally five overall for GW.
The Revolutionaries will continue to compete in this weekend's tournament in Raleigh with a match Saturday at 2:00 p.m. against Charlotte and again on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. against Wofford.
