Volleyball Headed South for Summit Hospitality Tournament

The GW volleyball will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, this weekend to compete in the Summit Hospitality Tournament, hosted by NC State. The Revolutionaries will face a challenging three-match schedule over three consecutive days, beginning with NC State on Friday, Sept. 4, at 6 p.m., followed by Charlotte on Saturday at 2 p.m., and concluding on Sunday against Wofford at 12 p.m.Â

All-Time Series: GW 14-7
The host Wolfpack return 11 players from last season's crew that finished 15-15 in 2025. Last weekend they competed in the Black and Gold Classic in Orlando and took home wins in two out of three matches. The Wolfpack is slated to take ninth in conference according to the ACC Preseason Coaches Poll.

The 49ers kicked off their season last weekend hosting the Charlotte Invitational and closed out the tournament with a 2-1 record. The American Conference preseason poll puts the team finishing ninth despite their sixth place conclusion in 2025. The Revolutionaries and 49ers have not faced-off since 2013.Â

All-Time Series: Tied 1-1
The Terriers enter the 2026 season after winning the Southern Conference Tournament in 2025. Wofford was voted to finish second in the Southern Conference Preseason Coaches Poll and features three members of the 2026 Preseason All-Conference Team including middle blocker Bradley Brown, libero Laney Klika, and outside hitter Chloe Smith. The Terriers and Revolutionaries will meet for just the third time since 2023.
