Men’s Soccer Clashes with UMBC in Baltimore Monday Night

GW men's soccer hits the road again this week when they travel to Baltimore on Monday night for a match vs. UMBC. Kickoff at Retriever Soccer Park is set for 7:00 p.m. and the match will be available on ESPN+. Fans making the trip to Baltimore will be required to purchase tickets.
At 2-1-0 through three matches, the Revolutionaries are out to their best start since 2023, when they opened the season at 1-0-2.
GW has been getting it done with help from up-and-down the lineup, as eight players have notched a point or more through three matches. GW has also relied on goalkeeper Tom Macauley, who has two shutouts and a .769 save percentage through three matches.
The Revolutionaries meet an undefeated Retrievers side on Monday night, who sit at 2-0-0 heading into the match. UMBC has wins vs. Loyola (Md.) (3-2) and Presbyterian (5-1), which both came at home.
UMBC was picked to finish fifth in the America East Conference preseason poll after going 6-6-5 last year. The Revolutionaries and Retrievers most-recent meeting finished in a 3-3 draw at the GW Soccer Field last October. UMBC holds a 13-4-5 edge in the all-time series.
