Heidebrecht, Mahoney Medal, Records Shattered on Day Two of Indoor Track & Field Championships

Virginia Beach, Va. - GW's Hadley Mahoney and Megan Heidebrecht showcased their talents on day two of the A-10 indoor track & field championships, earning bronze medals in the women's mile and women's triple jump to conclude the indoor season on a high note.
Heidebrecht, GW's leader in the field for the indoor campaign, posted a program-best 12.36m performance to earn the bronze, while Mahoney crossed the finish line in 4:54.14, nine seconds shy of the existing program record of 4:45.80.
Also scoring for George Washington was the 4x800m relay team of Mahoney, Rylan Priest, Deirdre Kenny and Rita Mazumder, which finished fifth overall with a 9:12.62 finish to also earn the program's record in the event. The 4x400 relay team, Amaka Agwu, Olivia Clark, Lainey Goldstein and Marcella Mancini, finished their relay in 3:52.81, ninth overall.
