Men's Basketball to Host Georgetown in Exhibition

WASHINGTON - George Washington men's basketball and the Georgetown Hoyas announced today that the local foes will unite on the hardwood at GW for an exhibition game ahead of the 2025-26 season on Saturday, October 18th. Tickets to the contest, more than forty years in the making, are available here.
The last time the Hoyas played in the Charles E. Smith Center was on December 13, 1980, and the last game between the schools was played a year later on December 16, 1981.
GW is currently ranked 60th in preseason projections by Bart Torvik, slightly ahead of Georgetown at 71.
Anticipation is high for George Washington after the team returns six from the program's first 20-win season in nine years and returned to the postseason for the first time since 2017 a season ago. Joining the half-dozen returners are five talented transfers who have been cited amongst the top Mid Major transfer classes in the country.
