NEWARK, Del. – Behind a career-high 22 points from Sara Lewis and three Revolutionaries in double figures, the George Washington women's basketball team defeated Delaware, 63-59, for the team's fourth consecutive victory, most for the program since the 2022-23 season.
Lewis was lights out from the jump, accounting for 10 of GW's 18 points in the first quarter, nearly equaling the Blue Hens' output of 13 herself. After GW led by five following the game's first 10 minutes, the Buff & Blue outscored Delaware, 11-8, in the second, carrying a 29-21 lead into the halftime break.
