
Volleyball Travels to Contend with Defending A-10 Champion Loyola Chicago

WASHINGTON -Â After earning the series sweep over Rhode Island at home, GW volleyball is hitting the road, traveling to Chicago to challenge the defending league champions, Loyola Chicago. The series with the Ramblers opens at 7 p.m. Eastern, and concludes in a Saturday matinee at 2 p.m. Friday's matchup will be carried on ESPN+.Â
Putting together a stellar performance all weekend, sophomore Alexis Rodriguez was named as the A-10 Player of the Week. Across GW's two wins, Rodriguez had 31 kills in seven sets, hitting .359 on the weekend and averaging 4.43 kills per set. She also added 19 digs, three assists, two service aces and one block to total 34 points.Â

- The Ramblers are 5-9 with a 2-0 mark in A-10 play after earning the sweep over Fordham last weekend on the road.Â
- All-time, Loyola holds a 7-0 advantage over the Buff & Blue in conference play, with the two foes meeting each year since Loyola joined the Atlantic 10 in 2022.Â
