Water Polo Sets Out to Princeton Invitational to Battle No. 7 Pacific, No. 15 Harvard

Revolutionaries play second and third ranked matchups of the season on Saturday
WASHINGTON - The George Washington University water polo team (3-1, 1-0 MAWPC) is setting out to face a pair of ranked opponents on Saturday. The GW Revs will go up against No. 7 Pacific (2-0) at 12:30 p.m., followed by No. 15 Harvard (2-2) at 6:30 p.m., at DeNunzio Pool in Princeton, N.J.
OPENING WEEKEND
The Revolutionaries got out to a 3-1 start to the season at the Navy Invitational last weekend. GW won both contests on Saturday, defeating Mercyhurst (17-8) and McKendree (21-11), before falling to No. 5 Princeton (18-3) and narrowly escaping Salem (16-15) on Sunday.
MAWPC HONOR ROLL
Three Revolutionaries made the MAWPC weekly awards honor roll following opening weekend: Adonis Vlassis for Player of the Week (12 goals, 1 assist, 13 steals), Luca Castorina for Defensive Player of the Week (35 saves, 1 assist, 2 steals) and Antonio Florena for Rookie of the Week (10 goals, 10 steals, 7 field blocks). 
TOUGH ROAD AHEAD
GW will play its second and third ranked opponents of the season on Saturday. Pacific comes to battle with a 2-0 record, with early-season wins over Brown (21-11) and Harvard (15-14), while Harvard comes in at 2-2 with its loss to Pacific and to reigning MAWPC champions Fordham (18-11), and with wins over Wagner (17-8) and California Baptist (11-10).
