Behind Yohannes was junior Cianna Tejada, who rallied seven kills and five blocks. Setters Dilara Elmacıoğlu and Abby Markworth paced the attack with a combined 25 assists, while at libero, Reilly Heinrich held down the back row with 19 digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
In the first, GW out-hit Loyola 13-12, and with seven ties, the momentum was constantly shifting between the two teams. In the final moments of the opening frame, the Ramblers rallied to claim the set at 25-22.
In the second, the margins remained narrow, but Loyola took the upper hand on the attack, putting down 16 kills to outlast GW's eight.
