WASHINGTON – The George Washington women's soccer team honored its 10 seniors prior to Thursday's match against VCU. The contest was the final home match for the Revolutionaries this season, with the Rams leaving victorious, 2-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

47^th Minute: After a scoreless first half, VCU didn't waste any time in the second, tallying the match's first goal less than three minutes after halftime. Kanna Matsuhisa was credited with the goal, her seventh of the season, with the assist going to Paige Hoeger.
52^nd Minute: Shortly after, the Rams doubled their lead with a Hoeger's first goal of the season. Assisting on the score was Greta Kraszula.

NOTEWORTHY

As a team, VCU finished the match with 16 total shots, including 10 shots on target. The Buff & Blue notched 10 shots on the day, four of which were on frame. Eight of GW's shots were taken in the second half.
Ainsley Lumpe, one of 10 seniors honored pregame, played the entire 90 minutes in goal for the Revolutionaries. Lumpe finished with eight saves on the day.
Lauren Prentice led the GW offense with two shots on goal and three shots in total. Isabel Kelly and Julia Bilal also registered one shot on goal apiece.
The Rams finished with an 8-2 lead in corner kicks, while GW tallied the edge in fouls at 10-6.
Neither team was assessed a card in the match.
