Volleyball Faces VCU in Richmond

WASHINGTON-Â Entering week five of Atlantic 10 action, the GW Volleyball team will travel to Richmond, Va., to take on the VCU Rams in a weekend series Friday and Saturday. Both matches are slotted for a primetime 6 p.m. start in the Siegel Center, and fans can also tune in live on ESPN+.Â

WEEK REWIND
GW fell twice in straight sets to No. 20 Dayton over the past weekend. Following the trip to Ohio, GW now sits third in the conference, only behind the No. 1 Flyers and No. 2 Rams. ON THE OPPONENT
The VCU Rams enter the weekend matchup sitting 7-2 in the A-10, falling only to No. 20 Dayton thus far in conference play. Most recently, VCU is coming off a thrilling sweep of Loyola Chicago, defeating the Ramblers in five sets to conclude the series.Â

The Rams are led this season by Julia Rienkes, who has tallied 226 kills behind a .262 hitting percentage across 17 matches to fuel the VCU offense. Reinkes also serves as a defensive stalwart for VCU, tallying 98 digs throughout 2024. Following behind Rienkes is Jasmine Knight, putting down 145 kills and swinging behind an impressive .326 hitting percentage.
