Volleyball Opens A-10 Play at Home, Welcoming Fordham to the DMV

WASHINGTON- After an extended road stint, the GW Volleyball team will return home this Friday evening as they welcome the Fordham Rams for its A-10 home opening series. The A-10 foes will play two matches: Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. Both matches will also air live on ESPN +.
WEEK REWIND
GW returns to the District after traveling to Pittsburgh last weekend to open conference play against Duquesne. The Revolutionaries split the matches with the Dukes, falling on Friday evening and earning a three-set victory in the Saturday matinee.
Through the first week of conference action, GW continues to lead the conference in service aces. In individual statistical categories, senior Salem Yohannes sits third in kills (3.42/set) and junior Cianna Tejada clocks in at third in the league for hitting percentage (.361). ON THE RAMS
Heading to the weekend, GW leads the all-time series with Fordham, 34-18. Through week one of A-10 play, the Rams arrive in Washington with a 4-7 (0-2) record after falling to Saint Louis twice in A-10 opening weekend.
Leading the Rams offense is Whitley Moody, registering 143 kills and 126 digs so far in 2024. Following closely behind is Audrey Brown who has tallied 129 kills for the Rams. At setter, Whitney Woodrow has fed the Fordham offense with 345 assists and will challenge the Revolutionaries behind the service line, as Woodrow has collected 21 service aces throughout the current campaign.
