Rhode Island rattled off six-straight points to boast a 7-1 lead at the start of set two. Both Rhode Island and GW put down nine kills in the set, but the early deficit for the visitors allowed the Rams to even the match at one set apiece.

Midway through the fourth set, GW went on a 7-0 scoring run to take a dominant 19-10 lead. The deficit would prove to be too much for the Rams, as they moved to 2-13 in conference play.
