Haynes Brown scored the game-winner in the 88th minute
WASHINGTON - Oscar Haynes Brown scored the game's only goal as GW men's soccer (7-7-2, 3-4) took down La Salle (3-8-4, 2-3-2), 1-0, on Senior Day.
The match was scoreless most of the way through but not from a lack of chances. 13 combined shots were fired on net with plenty of action around both goalkeepers.
Goalkeeper Justin Grady stood tall on his Senior Day, making seven saves and keeping a clean sheet all the way through. Grady looked confident all afternoon directing traffic in front of GW's net, while he earned his 11th career shutout.
How it Happened:
88th Minute: Haynes Brown connected on the end of a Tom Cooklin cross and headed the ball past the La Salle goalkeeper. Cooklin and Ryan Cedeno were credited with assists on the goal.
