Women’s Soccer Battles Davidson to Scoreless Draw

The Buff & Blue record fifth clean sheet of the season
DAVIDSON, N.C. – George Washington women's soccer went on the road and picked up a point in the standings on Sunday, battling Davidson to a scoreless draw at Alumni Soccer Stadium.
Sophomore goalkeeper Ainsley Lumpe faced seven shots en route to her fourth clean sheet of the season and GW's fifth as a team.
NOTEWORTHY:
•GW's backline held the Wildcats to just two shots in the second half.
•GW's offense peppered Davidson's defense with 13 total shots and six shots on goal.
•Rachel Sorkenn, Sammy Neyman and Margarett Rabbitt all tied for the team lead in shots with three.
•GW led the way in corner kicks, 4-3, on Sunday.

George Washington will take a break from A-10 play when it travels to Delaware State on Wednesday, Oct. 5. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
