Haynes Brown got his season started in style last Thursday, scoring a pair of goals in a 4-0 win over VMI on the Mount Vernon Campus.
The graduate student from London, England, found the net 66 seconds into the new campaign with help from Ryan Cedeno and Tim Neumann to stake the Buff and Blue to an early lead.
Coming out of the halftime break, he quickly struck again, adding a 47th-minute goal off a feed from Elias Norris to extend the advantage to 3-0.
It was the fifth career multi-goal game for Haynes Brown, who now has 24 goals in 35 career games.
