Howard match on Sunday has been cancelled
WASHINGTON - GW volleyball is back in action this weekend, welcoming Fordham on Saturday at 1 p.m. Sunday's scheduled match at Howard has been cancelled due to MEAC schedule adjustments.
CAN YOU DIG IT: Junior libero Bella Bowman crossed the 1,000-dig threshold in her career against La Salle thanks to a phenomenal 36-dig performance that matched her career-high. Bowman is third in the A-10 with 137 total digs and ranks fifth with 4.42 per set. Senior Sydney Welch is approaching the milestone as well, sitting at 958 career digs entering the weekend.
ABOUT THE RAMS: Fordham is 0-1 on the year and will be making its first appearance in nearly a month after dropping its season opener on Feb. 3 vs. St. John's. Freshman middle blocker Isabel Fichtel was named the A-10's Rookie of the Week following that match after setting the program record with 12 blocks against the Johnnies. GW is 34-11 all-time against Fordham, but dropped the last meeting in five sets last year.
