Senior attacker has tallied 10 goals so far this season

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Senior Ioanna Mantzouratos has earned A-10 Player of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Mantzouratos has also been named GWsports.com Colonial of the Week for her efforts in a pair of Buff and Blue victories.

Mantzouratos has been consistent in the offensive zone for GW, scoring in all four games so far this season. In GW's most recent win at Longwood last Saturday, the veteran attacker netted three goals and one assist, pacing the Buff in Blue in scoring for the second consecutive game.

Mantzouratos tied her career-high with five goals in a road win at American last Wednesday while setting a career-high by firing nine shots on goal.

Mantzouratos is the first GW lacrosse student-athlete to earn A-10 Player of the Week honors since Jocelyn Donohue picked up the recognition on March 20, 2018.

GW is on the road at James Madison on Tuesday and will return home on Saturday to host George Mason at 3 p.m.
