Volleyball to Finish Fall Slate at Home

GW hosts VCU on Friday, Davidson on Sunday for Senior Day
WASHINGTONÂ - GW volleyball will conclude its fall season at home this weekend, hosting VCU on Friday at 6 p.m., before welcoming Davidson for Senior Day on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Ahead of first serve on Sunday, seniors Bella Bowman, Paz Dozie-Nnamah, Noelle Dwyer, Lauren LaBeck, Heather Merryman and Melody Williams will be recognized for their time and dedication to GW volleyball.Â
LAST TIME OUT:Â GW dropped its final pair of road tests last weekend at Duquesne and Dayton. For the 13th time this season, Salem Yohannes led the GW offense in the team's match at Dayton. Yohannes will look to surpass the 200-kill threshold this weekend, needing nine more kills to do so.Â
REMATCH WITH THE RAMS:Â VCU (16-11 11-3 A-10) claimed all three of the Atlantic 10's most recent weekly awards, with Jovana Vukcevic, Alyna Draper and Katrina Davis honored. Vukcevic has tallied 166 kills across 59 sets this season and currently sits ninth overall in the conference. Teammate Qairo Bentley is eighth in the A-10 with 258 kills.Â
A LOOK AT THE WILDCATS:Â Davidson (12-12 8-6 A-10) recently tallied a pair of victories at Rhode Island and Fordham last weekend. Outside hitter Hattie Rodriguez leads the Wildcat offense with 284 kills on .201 efficiency. Libero Bella Brady sits atop the A-10 with 502 digs across 91 sets played. Aneia Davis' team-leading 99 blocks puts her second overall in the conference, averaging 1.13 b/s.Â
