Colonials capture first A-10 title in team history
GW women's cross country made history on Saturday morning, claiming its first-ever Atlantic 10 title.
During Saturday's 5K from Ohio, the Buff & Blue relied on their impressive depth and individual skill to capture their first title. Margaret Coogan led the pack for GW, finishing as the individual runner-up in a time of 17:31.7, while Peri Pavicic, Kathryn Nohilly and Olivia Syftestad all finished in the top-15 to take home All-Conference honors. In total, the Buff & Blue finished with 50 points en route to the championship.
The program's first A-10 title comes on the heels of a historic regular season, which saw the women's team take home its first-ever perfect score during the Mount Saint Mary's Duals, finish first in back-to-back events to start the year for the first time and tie its regional ranking record.
