Sarah Pintel led the GW offense for the second consecutive match with a season-high 14 kills. Liv Womble matched her career-high 10 kills, adding to a GW offense that produced 47 kills. With the help of a ten-point rally, the Rams quickly got in front in set one at 13-2. Rhode Island then went on two separate four-point scoring runs to take the 1-0 set advantage.
The home team's offense continued to roll in set two, rattling off six kills to earn a 6-2 lead. GW then went on its own scoring run to knot the set at 6-6. After three ties, GW began to pull away thanks to kills from Pintel, Womble, Lauren LaBeck and Elizabeth Drelling. The Rams evened the set two more times, but two Pintel kills and a Rhode Island error lifted the Buff & Blue to the second set victory.
GW controlled set three and opened up the scoring with two aces from Bella Bowman and a kill apiece from Pintel and Williams. Boosted by a seven-point scoring run, GW jumped ahead to a 14-3 lead. A rally later on in the set from Rhode Island helped the Rams cut the deficit to four, but three home team errors and a kill from Addie Feek put the Buff & Blue ahead, 2-1.
Powered by 16 kills in set four, the Rams evened the match at 2-2.
After back-to-back errors by GW to open up the final set, the Buff & Blue scored three unanswered to gain the narrow edge at 3-2. From there, the set saw nine ties and five lead changes before GW earned the five-set road victory.
