Colonial of the Week: Sandro Weber of Men's Soccer
10/12/2020 11:00:00 AM | General, Men's Soccer, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
Name: Sandro Weber
Sport: Men's Soccer
Year: Graduate Student
Major: Sport Management
Sandro Weber has been tabbed Colonial of the Week for his continued excellence this fall leading GW men's soccer. In addition to his athletic and academic responsibilities, the graduate student is holding down a part-time job and an internship within the sponsorship department of the NWSL's Washington Spirit while also serving as a member of SAAC.
"Sandro has shown us what a leader looks like daily to display excellence in everything that he does," head coach Craig Jones said. "On and off the field, his commitment to our program and the GW community shows us what a great person, teammate and friend he is."
My favorite course I've taken at GW is...
Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics. Even without experiencing the games on-site, it was still a great class with many interesting guest speakers from around the world.
After graduation I hope to...
keep playing soccer at the highest level possible and eventually work on the club side of a professional sports team.
A little piece of home that I've brought with me to GW is...
a collection of photos from family and friends from Germany.
I appreciate my teammates because...
from day one they've made my time at GW so much more enjoyable and at the same time pushing me every day to become a better athlete and a better person. BIG shoutout!
This semester I am Raising High by...
managing the athletic and academic responsibilities of being a student-athlete, while having a job, an internship and being part of SAAC. More importantly, we're Raising High as a team by getting into the right shape to achieve great things in the spring.
