Women’s Squash Adds Trio for 2019-20

WASHINGTON – Three student-athletes are slated to join the George Washington women's squash team for the 2019-20 season, head coach Anderson Good announced on Wednesday.
"We are very excited to be welcoming these three players to the GW squash family in the fall," said Good. "We think all three of them can be key contributors in our starting lineup next year, adding to our depth and level of competition. With the help of these newcomers and our returning student-athletes, we look forward to working hard and hopefully moving up the rankings."
The class features Nikki Pang (Singapore), Aariya Patel (Mumbai, India) and Sasha Hinckley (Newport, R.I.).

High School: Attended the Anglo-Chinese Junior College in Singapore … 2017 National Champion for A Division Inter-school Tournament … earned her Advanced Level Examination Certificate … Singapore Cricket Club.
Coach Good on Pang: "Nikki comes to us after a year at the University of Iowa. She is a strong player with tremendous squash experience in Singapore, and we are ecstatic to have her join us at GW this fall. We look forward to her being able to strengthen the top half of our lineup."
Aariya Patel

Mumbai, India
High School: Attended the Taft School … received the 1986 Girls Squash award in 2018 and 2019.
Coach Good on Patel: "Aariya comes to us by way of Mumbai, India, and the Taft School in Connecticut. Aariya has tremendous team squash experience and was Taft's #1 player for the last few seasons. She has spent time in D.C. in past summers, and we are looking forward to have her join the team in the fall and strengthen the depth of our lineup."
Sasha Hinckley

Newport, R.I.
High School: Placed third at New Englands in 2016, 2017 and 2018 … honor roll as a freshman, junior and senior.
Coach Good on Hinckley: "Sasha comes to us from Deerfield Academy, one of the strongest girls' high school squash programs in the country. Sasha also has tremendous team squash experience, a massive asset at the collegiate level."
