James Earns Academic All-District Honor

Colonial harrier becomes fourth in program history to earn accolade
WASHINGTON - GW track & field senior Connor James was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District 2 team, it was announced on Tuesday. The team is selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and honors student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom.
As a result of James' selection, he is now under consideration for CoSIDA Academic All-America honors, which will be announced in June.
James graduated earlier this month with a degree in Political Science after maintaining a 3.89 GPA. He opened his final campaign for the Buff & Blue by qualifying for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional in cross country. On the track, the Miami, Fla., native established new personal records in all three indoor events and all four outdoor events he competed in throughout the course of the campaign.
He capped off his career at the A-10 Outdoor Championship with a PR time of 15:14.94 in the 5000m for a top-30 finish and also placed 12th in the 10000m in a time of 31:33.23.
