Colonials aim to build off 2017-18 season
2018 Schedule
WASHINGTON – George Washington women's squash head coach Wendy Lawrence has announced that the Colonials will host four matches at the Matthew J. Grossman Squash Courts at Lerner Health & Wellness Center as part of their 11 match regular-season schedule.
GW returns eight letterwinners from last year's squad that finished with a final national ranking of No. 14 after competing in the Kurtz Cup (B-Division) at the College Squash Association (CSA) National Championships.
The Colonials also welcome two newcomers to the roster as they aim to improve on their final CSA National ranking in 2018-19.
GW will face seven teams that finished in the top-10 of last year's final CSA National Poll including home matches against No. 4 Yale (Jan. 26, 11 a.m.), No. 7 Columbia (Jan. 27, 11 a.m.), and No. 9 Drexel (Feb. 9, 2 p.m.). The Buff and Blue will also visit No. 6 Pennsylvania (Nov. 17, 2:30 p.m.), No. 3 Princeton (Nov. 18, 3 p.m.), No. 10 Dartmouth (Dec. 2, TBA), and No. 2 Trinity (Dec. 8 TBA).
The Colonials will also host No. 12 Williams College (Jan. 20, 12 p.m.) and face No. 11 Brown (Dec. 7, 6 p.m.), No. 15 Middlebury (Dec. 9, 12 p.m.), and No. 13 Virginia (Jan. 23, 5:30 p.m.) on the road.
The Buff and Blue will kickoff their postseason at the first-annual Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference (MASC) Championships (Feb. 2-3) before closing out their season with CSA Team Nationals (Feb. 22-24) and CSA Individual Nationals (March 1-3).
