Carter Day put forth a record-setting performance in the 5,000-meter run at the Raleigh Relays on Friday in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Day's time of 14:22.45 smashed the previous program record (14:35.04) and was also a new personal record by a mammoth margin of 80 seconds. With his performance, Day now owns four George Washington track records (Indoor 800m, Indoor 1000m, Indoor 3000m, Outdoor 5000m).
