No. 13 GW Women's Squash Wraps Yale Round Robin

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The No. 13 George Washington women's squash team played a trio of matches against tough opponents at this weekend's Yale Round Robin.
GW (5-7) was shutout against No. 6 Yale, 9-0, on Friday. The Bulldogs won seven of nine matches in three games.
Senior Anna Gabriela Porras and junior Breanne Flynn each picked up sweeps at the top of the ladder in a 5-4 loss to No. 12 Brown on Saturday. Sophomore Abby Shonrock and senior Mehak Chawla added two 3-0 wins at Nos. 4 and 9, respectively.
Porras, Flynn and sophomore Mary Jo Mahfood each provided wins in the weekend finale, a 6-3 loss to No. 8 Cornell on Sunday.
Flynn earned her team-leading ninth win of the season with a 6-11, 14-12, 11-8, 11-3 win over Rachel Scherman at No. 2.
Porras picked up her program-record 50th career win against Cornell with a 11-9, 11-4, 11-8 win over Michele Garceau at No. 1
Mahfood earned her third win of the season, 11-9, 11-4, 5-11, 5-11, 11-6 over Nghi Nguyen in the No. 6 slot.
The Colonials will travel to Philadelphia next weekend to face No. 9 Drexel on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
