Impending Blizzard Ends GW Squash's Howe Cup Run

BOSTON - Following the lead of a number of competing teams at the College Squash Association (CSA) Team National Championships, the No. 8 George Washington women's squash team erred on the side of caution as a blizzard descended upon New England, and defaulted its remaining matches in the Howe Cup (A-Division) in order to safely return to Washington, D.C.

GW concludes its season with a 9-7 overall record and the program's first-ever appearance in the top tier of collegiate squash.

Select student-athletes will compete in the CSA Individual championship, February 27-March 1, in Princeton, N.J. Draws will be announced following the conclusion of next weekend's men's team championships.
