No. 8 GW Women's Squash Falls in Weekend Matches

WASHINGTON - The No. 8 George Washington women's squash team returned to action this weekend but dropped a pair of matches to No. 3 Penn and No. 4 Princeton, both by scores of 9-0, at the Matthew J. Grossman Squash Courts at Lerner Health & Wellness Center.
Junior Breanne Flynn won a game against Penn (1-0) on Saturday, taking the first game of a 11-6, 2-11, 4-11, 7-11 loss to Melissa Alves. The Quakers took the remaining eight matches in three games.
Senior Anna Gabriela Porras put up a tough fight on Sunday against Princeton, going the distance against Olivia Flechter at No. 1 before falling 11-9, 11-6, 3-11, 8-11, 5-11.
Flynn also played tough for the second straight day, falling 7-11, 11-1, 6-11, 4-11 to Maria Ubina at No. 2.
Princeton (1-0) won the remaining seven matches in three games.
The Colonials return to action on December 4 against No. 10 Dartmouth in a neutral-site match at the United States Naval Academy.
